DIGITAL ANALYSIS OF TIGHT RESERVOIRS

Problem:

New types of reservoirs are slightly amenable to conventional analysis

  • Standard lab equipment cannot be used to adequately analyse low permeability reservoirs and shale reservoirs
  • Survey findings are often contradictory and vague

Solution:

Digital multiscale analysis

  • Stationary labs with the necessary equipment can be used to carry out comprehensive material analysis
  • Rock properties are determined using specialised software based on INTROVISION’s proprietary algorithms
  • If necessary, analysis can be carried out to the level of nanometres

Result:

For tight terrigenous reservoirs:

  • Reservoir properties
  • Anisotropy of properties
  • Detailed analysis of drilling sludge

For tight carbonate reservoirs:

  • Reservoir properties
  • FMI results refinement with core’s artificial cracks rejection
  • Detailed analysis of fractured space

For oil shales (Bazhenov formation):

  • Rheology analysis
  • Analysis of core samples structures for exact typification
  • Pore volume coherence’s analysis
