A detailed research requires imaging same sample at multiple scales in order to obtain the parameters needed. A CT scan of standard plug can be as detailed as 10 µm per voxel. This level of detail gives a good description of sample’s inner structure but is not enough to calculate permeability. The latter requires resolution as high as 1 µm per voxel.
